Summer vacation is in full swing here, and we are loving it!
We had the perfect summer weekend! It was full of family, friends, sleepovers, playing, swimming, and cooking out!
On Friday, Lexie had story time at the library. After it was over, my friend took Dylan and Lexie to the museum for the day. While they were gone, Grant, Lily, and I ran errands and went out to lunch. We then met our friend and the kids at the park for pizza. That night, Dylan had his last baseball game of the season. After the game, we went to our friend's house for dinner, and then the kids had a sleepover at our house. The boys didn't fall asleep until 3 AM!
The next morning, I didn't wake up until 10:45, and everybody was still asleep! I found the boys completely passed out on the couch!
Grant drove our sleepover guests home just as my sister was dropping my nephew off for the day. Dylan and my nephew played all afternoon, while the girls and I went out to lunch and went shopping with my mom! That evening, we had dinner with my parents, my sister, and my nephews. Then, we headed over to my best friend's house. The weather has been gorgeous, and the kids had a great time playing!
We woke up early today, so everybody was tired. We ended up taking it easy at home most of the day.
After a quick afternoon nap, we headed out for a cookout and swimming with our good friends! The kids stayed in the pool for hours, the adults talked and enjoyed the food, and the babies ate...and ate...and ate.
Soon enough, the sun began to set, so it was time to clean up and get ready to leave. Dylan stayed for a sleepover, so we loaded the girls into the car, and headed home.
It was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend. We're looking forward to many more weekends like this one!
