Week Two In Review

JANUARY 8TH

On this day, 20 years ago, my parents bought me my horse as a combined Christmas/Birthday present.  I still have him today!  After school, I took Lexie to storytime at the library.  The rest of the day was spent at home.

That morning, Lily started the storytots program at the library.  After picking Lexie up from school, we had lunch, then I took her to gymnastics.  I had to run a few errands while she was in class.  Once everybody was home, and homework was done, we went to a friend's house for dinner.

We spent the afternoon visiting my parents.  After dinner, we returned home to get ready for school the next day.

We had a quiet day at home.  That evening, we went to a friend's house for dinner.  We ended up staying late, just hanging out with them.

Another day spent at home, getting some things done.  That afternoon, we went to a friend's house to watch the playoff games.  Once we got home, Grant and I watched the last 3 episodes of Homeland.  We stayed up late, but it was worth it!

JANUARY 13TH

We skipped our weekly visit with Grant's family.  I woke up with a migraine, so I ended up sleeping for 3 hours that afternoon.  That evening, we went to our friend's house for dinner.  It was hard convincing the kids to leave, but they had school the following day.

After Lexie was finished with school, we took our car to Costco to get the tires replaced.  $580  and an hour later...OUCH...it was done.  After running a few errands, we returned home for the day.  The evening was filled with dinner, clean-up, and homework.

And that, my friends, was a relaxing week in our house!

  3. Must have been a weird weather system moving thru and up your way. I got a horrible migraine too on Friday and got in bed at 4:30 pm after work and slept all night.

Love the pics of your kids as usual!

  10. Every kids dream present, hey I still would love to have a horse. My mom grew up on a farm and every time we visit I love visiting and riding the horses as do my kids.

Yeah, being a grown up is expensive huh?
